My interest in art began at 14 years of age when I was studying art in secondary school. But it was not until I began my studies as a photographer that I turned my passion for art into my career as a photographer.
The passion for photography stems from the interest in cinematography, the still image rather than sequential movement of them motivated me to pursue and deepen in the technical and artistic knowledge of photography per se, from there the evolution was natural for me. Born in Caracas Venezuela in 1954.
my name is Najib Madrid Flores (Nayo)
When I develop a work, I do so on a flat two-dimensional medium length x width. Unlike traditional media I use a computer to create, then I transfer my creation to a traditional medium such as art paper.
I employ geometric shapes to recreate images from everyday life or my imagination. I think that my work could be categorized as Figurative Art, though it may also encompass different artistic concepts.
As with any artistic development, there will always be variables that may or may not be welcome. The most important thing is to be able to create without limitations or conceptual ties. In the development process, there are variations that will determine the final result.

My favourite pieces is Maskerade
The artist has created a highly recognizable and consistent style. The clean lines, flat color planes, and geometric composition suggest influences from Cubism (e.g., Picasso, Gris) and early Modernist poster design, but the artist manages to make it feel current and personal.
The face is abstracted to the point of ambiguity, yet the essence of expression and elegance remains. This tension between abstraction and emotion is powerful.
